Exhibition Design
Over the years we have participated in significant local temporary exhibitions for catalan institutions.
Temporary exhibitions offer designers the possibility to conceptualise more freely, as less construction codes apply compared to traditional architecture. The aim is to produce emotion and convey a message.
Being temporary and often itinerant, the challenge is to make the construction lightweight, resistant, easy to assemble and dissassemble.

Pavilion of Catalonia in Expo Zaragoza 2008.
Universal exhibition on the theme of water. The Catalan pavilion was designed as an immersive space inspired in the path of a drop of water from its source, in the mountains, through the territory and down to the sea. Amongst other curiosities, the pavilion included the display of 500 mineral water bottle of Oliver Rodès collection, in the shape of a cascade internally illuminated with animated coloured LEDs. Exhibition on Monturiol, Barcelona Maritime Museum.
This exhibition celebrated Monturiol, the Catalan inventor of the submarine. Inserted on a scaffold structure underneath the museum’s magnificent gothic arcs, the journey was conceived as a labyrinth and included a tunnel that simulated an immersion, as well as recent scientific submarines. Don’t miss the virtual 3D walkthrough!

Week of Catalonia, expo Aichi - Japan
Within the Spanish Pavilion at Aichi, each spanish region had one week to showcase their specificity. Catalonia wanted to display its industrial strength and creativity in the production of wine, in fashion design as well as industrial design. As there was no budget to send assemblers to Japan, the concept was to use large shipping crates with all their contents already installed, as a “plug & play” exhibition.

10 years of La Contra, La Vanguardia Newspaper.
This newspaper’s back page, La Contra, has great success showcasing a daily interview from a significant public figure or simply normal people with a special message. A selection of 100 interviews had to be displayed temporarily in the gardens of Palau Robert in Barcelona. The exhibition system was inspired on the paper’s press and its large rolls of paper.
